Chief Technology Officer

XECH is a leading Australian-based Financial Technology firm specializing in Business Lending Matrix and Technology. With a strong focus on technological innovation, we are expanding our team in Malaysia to support our growing operations in Australia as well as South East Asia.

We are looking for driven individuals who are passionate about cutting-edge technology and personal growth. As a Chief Technology Officer, you will work on impactful projects and contribute to developing sophisticated financial technology.

This role operates according to Melbourne, Australia time.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level web applications.
• Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Manage and work across relational and non-relational databases, with a strong command of SQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative, user-centric solutions.
• Implement security and data protection standards.
• Stay updated with new technologies and continuously improve your technical expertise.
• Further develop, design and implement solutions for relevant clients using the latest technology.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10 years of experience in Software Development (Required).
• 5 years of experience in leading a team.
• 3+ years of experience in developing web applications.
• Proficiency in both relational and non-relational databases, with advanced SQL skills.
• Proven ability to select and apply the best tools, technologies, and languages for different projects.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with a focus on team-based development.
• Experience with software testing methodologies to ensure robust and scalable solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Leadership skills with experience mentoring junior developers and presenting technical solutions to stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Knowledge of server technologies such as Apache, and cloud platforms like AWS.
• Linux and Apache system administration experience.
