Job description

Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the daily operations of multiple outlets, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning across all departments, including finance, purchasing, IT, marketing communications (Marcom), HR, administration, and maintenance.
  2. Manage a back-office team of 40 employees, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure optimal performance and alignment with company goals.
  3. Supervise the operations of 25 retail outlets across Malaysia, driving performance, customer satisfaction, and profitability while ensuring company standards and regulations, and maintaining food safety and quality.
  4. Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company’s vision and objectives, ensuring long-term growth and success.
  5. Oversee the financial performance of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to drive profitability and cost efficiency.
  6. Manage the procurement and supply chain processes to ensure quality and stability of raw material supplies along with timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and products.
  7. Ensure the effective use of technology and systems to enhance operational efficiency and support business growth.
  8. Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to boost brand awareness and market share.
  9. Oversee HR functions, including recruitment, employee development, performance management, and compliance with labor laws.
  10. Ensure the proper maintenance and upkeep of all company facilities and equipment to support smooth operations.
  11. Utilize strong analytical skills to identify opportunities for improvement, address challenges, and implement effective solutions.
  12. Report on operational status to the CEO and senior management team, providing detailed operational reports and analysis.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
  2. Minimum 10-15 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the F&B industry or a similar fast-paced environment.
  3. Proven track record in managing multi-functional teams, including finance, HR, IT, and purchasing.
  4. Experience in managing retail operations with a focus on enhancing profitability and customer satisfaction.
  5. Deep understanding of food safety regulations and best practices, ensuring all restaurants meet standards.
  6. Knowledge of supply chain management in the restaurant industry, optimizing procurement and inventory processes.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  8. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  10. Strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  11. Proficient in financial management and budgeting.
