Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Operating Officer will assist him in managing the operations and administration of the group as a fund manager in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Sydney, and Hong Kong. Responsible for the timely production of product and service, management and cost controls, ensuring execution of strategy, you will manage the operations and administration teams and deliver results day in and day out, thus allowing the CEO to focus on business policy and strategy and fund management-related matters. Requirements:
Possess at least 4 to 5 years’ experience in managing operations and administration, preferably in fast-growing financial services, investment, or manufacturing organizations, and be backed by a strong university degree.
Familiar with fund operations, for example, trade settlements, unit pricing, fund reconciliation, subscriptions & redemptions, information and portfolio systems, process improvements, liaising with 3rd party service providers, and more.
Ability to effectively build organization and staff capacity, manage and develop a top-notch workforce, and ensure the group’s operations run smoothly is vital.
As a high-energy, results-oriented person, you should enjoy working hard and be able to handle multiple priorities and people at many levels; able to act and react as necessary, even if limited information is available; not afraid to take charge of a situation; and can overcome resistance to leadership.
Must be a firm believer in integrity.
Must be fluent in English. A strong knowledge of Mandarin is advantageous.
While based in Kuala Lumpur, traveling to the group’s operations in Singapore, Sydney, and Hong Kong will be required.
