Chief Hardware Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Hardware Engineer to join our growing team at SWS Inntech Sdn Bhd. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the hardware engineering efforts, driving the development and implementation of cutting-edge hardware solutions that power our innovative products. This is a full-time position based in Kota Damansara, Selangor.

What you'll be doing

• Oversee the design, development, and testing of complex hardware systems and components
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into feasible hardware architectures
• Manage and mentor a team of hardware engineers, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality hardware solutions
• Identify and implement innovative hardware technologies to enhance the performance and capabilities of our products
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices
• With strong problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities under pressure
• Experience in hardware design, development, and testing across various hardware components like processors, memory, peripherals, and integrated circuits.
• Knowledge of hardware design methodologies, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation tools

What we're looking for

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics with minimum 8 years of working experience in product development, R&D in design and design validation with a proven track record of leading hardware development projects
• Extensive knowledge of hardware design, testing, and validation methodologies
• Proficient in using hardware design tools, simulation software, and prototyping techniques
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience in managing and mentoring a team of hardware engineers
• Knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in hardware engineering
• Skills necessary: Hardware programming, design, and communication.
• Well versed in product development process from concept development to pilot run and product transfer to manufacturing
• Technically sound with embedded system, internet of things technologies
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skill
• Well versed with design for EMC, shielding and product safety
• Well versed with measurement equipment such as oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer. Familiar with schematic generation software such as Altium and ability to develop 4 layer PCB design.
• Good understanding on robust design principle and development of test method
