Job description
  • Develop and execute the bank’s financial strategy to support overall business objectives, aligned with business goals and growth plans.
  • Provide strategic insights on currency fluctuations, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Forecast financial performance based on market trends.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.
  • Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and treasury functions.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Implement effective risk management strategies to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
  • Design and implement capital management strategies, optimizing the capital structure to support operations, ensure financial health and sustainability.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities, balancing return on investment with risk exposure.
  • Oversee financing initiatives and banking relationships to support capital needs, ensuring access to credit facilities and favorable terms.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Lead the development of KPIs to track financial and operational performance.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports to stakeholders, including the Board, investors, and regulators.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform financial strategies.
  • Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting in line with IFRS or GAAP.
  • Analyze financial performance, including asset allocation, return on assets, and trading results, to guide executive decision-making.

Operational Leadership & Process Improvement:

  • Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive operational efficiency by streamlining financial processes, optimizing workflows, and reducing transaction costs.
  • Oversee technology adoption within finance and treasury, ensuring systems support accurate, real-time reporting and analytics.

Governance & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and board, aligning financial strategies with organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain transparent communication with auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure ethical practices in all financial operations and reporting, maintaining the bank's reputation and regulatory standing.

Treasury & Liquidity Management:

  • Oversee cash flow management, ensuring sufficient liquidity for trading operations and balance sheet requirements.
  • Develop policies for efficient cash and asset utilization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (or MBA/CPA qualification preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in a senior financial management role, ideally within F&B or financial services firm.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performance finance teams.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency in financial reporting standards (IFRS, GAAP).
  • Proven track record of raising capital, managing investor relations, and driving financial growth.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to solve complex financial challenges.
  • Must be able to use relevant computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; restaurant specific software including point-of-sale registers and business metric applications).
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must agree to background and credit check.
