Reporting directly to the CEO, this strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position presents an exciting opportunity with Malaysia LLC in the Semiconductor Electronics Industry, located in Bayan Lepas, Penang. As the CFO, you will oversee all financial operations and provide expert financial leadership to support the company's ambitious growth, particularly in navigating a successful IPO in Malaysia.

This role requires extensive knowledge of financial regulations, strong leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of the Malaysian capital markets. The CFO will work closely with the CEO and executive team, contributing to long-term business planning and playing a key role in enhancing shareholder value.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and execute the company's overall financial strategy to support long-term business objectives
  • Lead the finance team in producing accurate and timely financial reports, budgets, forecasts and analysis
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems and controls to enhance efficiency and mitigate risk
  • Advise the senior leadership team on financial matters, offering strategic recommendations to optimize profitability and cash flow
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial, accounting and tax regulations
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as investors, banks and auditors
  • Support the company's business development activities, including mergers, acquisitions and new investments.

What we're looking for

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 15+ years' post-qualification experience
  • Proven track record as a strategic CFO, ideally within the manufacturing sector
  • Proven experience with IPO processes in Malaysia, from regulatory compliance to market preparation
  • Excellent financial management skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and drive commercial decision-making
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience of building and leading high-performing finance teams
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences
  • Experience in driving operational efficiency and implementing financial systems and controls
  • Proficient in financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting
