Job Description

As the CEO of the company, you will be leading a highly profitable business and gain the ability to run it as your own venture. With your strong combination of a technical background and commercial acumen, you will be tasked with transforming the company's operations and continue the business' track record of growth and success through new business development.

1. Strategic vision and planning: Set the company's strategic direction, making high-level decisions about policy and strategy. Ensure that the company's goals align with its mission and vision.
2. Process optimisation and transformation: Ensure that all business technical operations (e.g. engineering, manufacturing etc) align with the company's strategic goals and run efficiently.
3. Innovation and Growth: Drive innovation within the company, encouraging the development of new products, services, or business models to ensure long-term growth and competitiveness.
4. Financial Oversight: Oversee the company's financial performance, investments, and other business ventures. Ensure that the company meets its financial goals and stays financially healthy.
5. Risk Management: Identify potential risks to the company and develop strategies to mitigate them. This includes staying informed about industry trends and changes that could impact the business.
6. Compliance and Ethics: Ensuring the company adheres to legal standards and ethical practices is crucial. Uphold the company's integrity and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

The Successful Applicant

1. Hold at least a Bachelor's degree, ideally in Engineering.
2. A minimum of 20 years' experience within a similar/relevant industry.
3. Prior senior leadership experience in the industrial machinery space, with a consistent professional track record.
4. Technical background, familiar with best practices for operations within an industrial manufacturing environment.
5. Commercial acumen with a successful history of sustainably scaling an established business.
6. Entrepreneurial and growth mindset with a sense of accountability over the business.
7. Effective communication and influencing abilities to manage internal stakeholders and global customers.
8. Professional-level proficiency in communicating in Chinese.
9. Willing and able to travel to rural and/or industrial locations in remote areas.
