Job Title: Chief Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chief Engineer to lead our engineering team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

About the Role:

• Oversee mechanical plant operations, including planning, maintenance, and tenant services for ACMV, P&D, STP, Fire, Electrical, HT, LV systems.
• Manage mechanical facilities, including air-conditioning, mechanical ventilation systems, chiller plants, AHUs, FCUs, WCPUs, firefighting systems, plumbing, sanitary systems, irrigation systems.
• Supervise electrical plant operations, including diesel generator houses, electrical substations, transformers, HV/LV switchgear, sub-switchboard systems, small power, lighting, lightning protection systems, fire alarm systems, vertical transport systems, BMUs, public address, access, security, CCTV, voice, data, grounding systems.
• Lead human resources in the department, including hiring, training, developing, empowering, coaching, counseling, conducting performance and salary reviews.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain physical appearance and operational efficiency of all plant and facilities.
• Ensure proper SOPs and records are kept for plant and equipment, repair, and service records.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations, by-laws, legislation, licenses, and permits.
• Prepare reports as required.
• Take responsibility for cleanliness and safety aspects of plant and mechanical equipment rooms.
• Develop, implement, and manage energy conservation programs to minimize expenses and champion ESG initiatives.
• Minimize downtime periods and optimize cost savings of the building management system.

Requirements:

• Right to work in Malaysia.
• Expected monthly basic salary: RM 30,000 - RM 50,000 (estimated).
• Qualifications: degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Years of experience: 5+ years as a Chief Engineer.
