Job Description

1. To organize daily testing activities according to report due date, sample quantity, test methods and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and QC plan to provide accurate results in timely basis.
2. To supervise the work planning and work progress of the Technician(s) or Senior Technician(s).
3. To maintain documentation related to MS ISO/IEC 17025 and assist the senior (Chemist or Senior Chemists) to update.
4. To monitor and verify the performance of equipment(s), ensure functionality, maintain and troubleshoot abnormalities.
5. To maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the work area and the testing conditions of the facilities.
6. To assist the supervisors in managing the remnant samples and scheduled wastes on a regular basis.
7. To assist in the investigation of any non-conforming work and report to the supervisors of the department.
8. To provide support to the seniors in method performance validation and measurement uncertainty in terms of sample pre-treatment.
9. To perform developmental and ad-hoc activities assigned by the seniors/Assistant Manager/Laboratory Operation Manager.

Qualifications

1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Polymer Chemistry or any related Chemistry field.
2. Min of 3 years working experience in relevant field for Chemist position.
3. Analytical, good command in English and have great passion in Laboratory work.
4. Resourceful, able to work under stress and to lead troubleshooting processes in the laboratory environment.
5. Self-motivated and result oriented, able to plan and execute task in timely basis.
6. Good communication skills and able to work with all employees at different levels in the organization hierarchy.
7. Experience in implementation and maintenance of MS ISO/IES 17025.
