Chef Manager (Mandarin)

Job Responsibility

1. Candidate must be willing to work at the International School canteen.
2. To be polite, professional, and friendly at all times with customers, clients, and colleagues.
3. To ensure the highest level of customer care is adhered to at all times.
4. To demonstrate a can-do attitude towards individual customer requests and strive to exceed customer expectations.
5. Takes personal responsibility for correcting customer-service problems.
6. Assist team before, during, and after service.
7. Seeks out client's current and future needs.
8. Ensure all company innovations are correctly implemented (where applicable) and identify any additional opportunities to discuss with the line manager.
9. Allocate duties to the team, supervising and assisting.
10. Coaches team to take corrective action as necessary and ensures follow-through.
11. Carry out appropriate training for all team members.
12. Explains the reasons for decisions.
13. Ensures the team has all the necessary information needed to meet its objectives.
14. Prioritize work, monitor standards, and conduct regular quality audits.
15. Comply with company and client Health, Safety, and Food Safety legislation.

Job Requirements

1. Proven work experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, Chef Manager, or similar role.
2. Able to speak in English and Mandarin.
3. At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
4. Proven customer service experience as a manager.
5. Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with the ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff.
6. Strong leadership, motivation, and people skills.
7. Acute financial management skills.
8. Experience in Asian Cuisine (expert in Chinese Cuisine) is an advantage.
9. Required Skill(s): Managing, Food Preparation, Food Cost.
