Certified Electrical Engineer

This position reports to the Technical Manager. As the Certified Electrical Engineer, the incumbent is accountable for a sustainable electrical supply and legal certification of all electrical installations as well as being the site electrical reference.

Job Description:

• Maintain and ensure the wellbeing of the entire electrical power supply from substations to main machine panels.
• Maintain the building compound around and surrounding electrical installations.
• Assist site maintenance and streams maintenance on power electrical issues.
• Ensure electrical installation compliance with regulations.
• Assume the role of Energy Champion to follow energy policy and execute energy-saving projects.
• Drive energy-saving task force.
• Liaise with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) on power supply issues.
• Manage energy base load.
• Liaise with contractual electrical inspectors and external suppliers for repair works and modifications.
• Drive renewable energy initiatives in the plant.
• Support stream maintenance in the event of a major power cut.
• Work with the regional energy lead about the company’s energy status.

About You:

1. Minimum of a degree in Electrical & Electronics or a Diploma with good field experience.
2. Preferably possesses ST certified Electrical Energy Manager, a competent person certification by ST.
3. Possesses a 33 kV Chargemanship Certificate, which aligns perfectly with the company's requirements.
4. Familiar with Malaysian electrical installation regulations.
