Job description

The Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) Senior Specialist will focus on performing on-site service activities with plant asset predictive maintenance which includes vibration analysis, oil analysis and other PdM technologies. Responsibilities include troubleshooting of incipient or recurring failure and provides customers with expert technical knowledge on machine condition and trends. This assignment requires offshore/onshore deployment and high level of value service to customer is expected.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Engineering (Petroleum/Oil/Gas), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Chemical), or an equivalent field.
A minimum of 2-8 years of experience in plant projects, maintenance, and reliability within the process control industry, with Oil and Gas experience being an advantage.
Senior CBM Specialist certification, with Vibration Analysis Certification based on ISO 18436-2 Category 3 or equivalent.
Proficient in Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) programs, with a foundational understanding of other condition monitoring technologies, including but not limited to thermography, ultrasound, and tribology.
Competent in performing in-situ balancing for rotating equipment and turbomachinery.
Proficient in using multi-channel analyzers, such as Emerson CSI 2600 and Bentley Nevada ADRE System, to perform transient data analysis for turbomachinery.
Skilled in using portable vibration analyzers to perform advanced vibration analysis, including phase analysis, bump tests, and transient data analysis.
Proficient in using vibration analysis software to perform various tasks, including creating vibration databases, setting up routes, configuring alarm settings, and adjusting other equipment configuration settings.
Knowledge and experience with Emerson Process Management Systems and equipment (AMS Suite, MHM, CSI technologies, and handheld devices) is a plus.
Experience with rotating equipment, electrical and static equipment, and asset management is an added advantage.
Knowledgeable in advanced vibration analysis tools such as ODS, modal analysis, and FEA is an added advantage.
Computer literacy, including web-based applications, is a plus.
Ability to develop task tracking systems using MS Excel or other advanced database software.
Required languages: Bahasa Malaysia, English.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prepare memos, reports, and essays with proper punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
Strong project and time management skills.
A team player with a willingness to train and be trained.
