CAMO Technical Service Engineer - System

AirAsia X is seeking a dynamic Technical Services Engineer (System) to be part of the best airline team in the sky!

Main Responsibilities

1. Provide technical support for interior and mechanical system issues under ATA chapter 21, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 36.
2. Provide effective and efficient technical support to aircraft operations.
3. Prepare and issue the required technical documents in accordance with approved procedures and regulatory requirements.
4. Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers, aviation authority or any reliable sources to facilitate analysis of engineering issues.
5. Evaluate continuing airworthiness data and provide sentencing recommendation to Modification Evaluation Meeting for approval.
6. Provide approved data for technical instruction such as inspection, modification and repair which is not within the scope of any of manufacturer’s manuals.
7. Ensure all technical documents issued meet the requirements of the department’s approval system.
8. Assist Reliability section in conducting root cause analysis and provide remedies for excessive and abnormal wear, malfunctions or premature removals.
9. Undertake development study to improve aircraft dispatch reliability and provide recommendation as necessary.
10. Ensure sufficient skills are acquired and inform superior of required training to improve competency.
11. Responsible to undertake the necessary corrective and preventive action resulting from compliance monitoring and audit program findings.
12. Responsible for the development of Minimum Equipment List (MEL) and Flight Test Schedule (FTS).
13. Responsible to prepare Flight Condition Document (FCD), Permit to Fly (PTF) and Ferry Flight Clearance application for submission to CAAM.
14. Manage and control EDTO Engineering Manual.
15. Conduct review meetings for EDTO.
16. Follow up on EDTO technical and flight operational matters.
17. Review Configuration, Maintenance, Procedure and Dispatch standards (CMP) related to EDTO.
18. Liaise with authorities related to EDTO compliance and certification.
19. Monitor aircraft modification related to EDTO.
20. Any other relevant duty as assigned by the superior.

Qualification and Minimum Experience Requirements

Educational Requirements:

1. Minimum Bachelor's Degree in any relevant Engineering disciplines from recognized institutions.
2. Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably on Airbus aircraft.
3. Candidates with experience in project management, research and project development, or community work participation will have an added advantage.
