Job Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of our café. As the Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team, delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining high-quality standards in food and beverage offerings, and ensuring smooth operational processes. Your goal will be to create a welcoming and efficient environment for both customers and staff while driving the success of the café.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership & Training: Manage, train, and motivate a team of baristas, servers, and kitchen staff. Ensure staff is well-trained in customer service, product knowledge, and health and safety standards.
  2. Customer Service Excellence: Ensure that all customers receive top-quality service, addressing any concerns or issues in a professional and timely manner. Foster a positive and welcoming environment.
  3. Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, including opening and closing the café, scheduling staff, managing workflow, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
  4. Inventory & Stock Management: Monitor stock levels of food, beverages, and supplies. Place orders, track deliveries, and ensure inventory is well-maintained to avoid shortages or waste.
  5. Quality Control: Ensure that all food and beverage items meet the highest quality standards. Conduct regular checks on product consistency, presentation, and taste.
  6. Financial Management: Manage the café’s budget, including cost control, revenue tracking, and profit margin optimization. Ensure effective cash handling and register management.
  7. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the café meets all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including sanitation practices, food safety protocols, and employee safety guidelines.
  8. Marketing & Customer Engagement: Work with the marketing team to promote special events, new menu items, and seasonal promotions. Build and maintain relationships with regular customers to foster loyalty.
  9. Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, customer feedback, and staff performance. Provide regular reports to senior management and suggest strategies for improvement.
  10. Problem-Solving & Conflict Resolution: Address customer complaints, employee issues, and other challenges in a professional, calm, and efficient manner.

Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Proven experience (1 year) in a management role within the food service or hospitality industry, ideally in a café or similar establishment.
  2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage a diverse team.
  3. Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  4. Solid understanding of café operations, including inventory management, POS systems, and financial reporting.
  5. Knowledge of food and beverage preparation, as well as health and safety regulations.
  6. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. A passion for coffee, food, and delivering a great customer experience.
  10. Previous experience with marketing or promotional activities is a plus.
  11. High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in hospitality or business management is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  1. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  2. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift light-to-moderate loads (e.g., supplies or equipment).
