Cafe Barista cum Supervisor

Location: Kolombong, Sabah

Salary Range: RM 1,800 - RM 2,000 (depending on experience and skills)

Working Hours: Full-time, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, Monday to Sunday (including one day off)

Key Responsibilities

Barista Duties:

1. Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages, ensuring consistency and excellence.
2. Operate and maintain coffee machines and brewing equipment.
3. Develop new drink recipes and seasonal specials.
4. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene at the coffee bar and workspace.
5. Ensure proper inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
6. Engage with customers, provide recommendations, and ensure a pleasant cafe experience.
7. Handle cash and digital payments, ensuring accurate transactions.

Supervisory Duties:

1. Oversee daily cafe operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
2. Supervise and train new and existing staff in barista and service duties.
3. Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours.
4. Monitor and manage stock levels, placing orders as needed to prevent shortages.
5. Ensure the cafe adheres to health, safety, and cleanliness standards.
6. Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
7. Assist in marketing efforts by suggesting promotions and seasonal offers.
8. Support management in achieving sales targets and improving operational efficiency.

Requirements

1. Minimum 2 years of experience as a barista, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
2. Proficient in coffee preparation, latte art, and equipment maintenance.
3. Strong leadership and team management skills.
4. Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
5. Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
6. Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.
