About the role

As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in our purchasing and procurement processes, ensuring we maintain a steady supply of the high-quality materials and components needed to support our manufacturing operations. What you'll be doing

1. Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers to secure the best pricing, delivery, and quality terms.
2. Placing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and resolving any issues or discrepancies.
3. Collaborating with production and inventory teams to forecast demand and maintain optimal stock levels.
4. Researching and evaluating new suppliers to expand our vendor network and identify cost-saving opportunities.
5. Preparing and analysing procurement reports to support strategic decision-making.
6. Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
7. Other tasks as required.

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
2. Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
3. Proficiency in data analysis, using tools such as Excel to track and report on procurement metrics.
4. Familiarity with inventory management principles and best practices.
5. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to address supply chain challenges.
6. Knowledge of relevant procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
