Responsibilities:
- To know and learn the various names of all cuts and the procedures of cutting them.
- To ensure that all butchery work is carried out correctly in the department, including teaching and updating staff on butchery skills needed for running the department when the butcher is not in.
- To be in charge of ordering various merchandise for the department and determining the quantities to be ordered.
- To check the merchandise freshness upon delivery from the supplier.
- To ensure all merchandise is properly kept and arranged in the back room/cold room and to control the amount displayed daily.
- Responsible for cutting the meat into required sizes, thickness, and quantity, and deboning them if necessary.
- To pack meats into trays, seal them, weigh, and price tag before displaying on the selling floor.
- To ensure cleanliness is maintained in the department, including the working area, back room, and selling area.
- Responsible for stock take preparation for the department.
- To delegate various jobs in the department to other staff and oversee/supervise their work.
- To prepare working schedules for staff to cover on off days.
Other Duties: The employee may be required to perform additional tasks, duties, or projects as assigned by the company, based on business needs or as deemed necessary by management.
