The aim of the Business Development and Partnership teams is to provide Shopee’s buyers with a wide variety of product listings at the best prices.

About the Team:

You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing budgets and forecasts, conducting financial modelling, and providing valuable insights to aid in strategic decision-making specifically for the retail industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of financial concepts and principles.

Job Description:

• Identifying potential growth opportunities for Shopee through retail and fulfilment initiatives.
• Leading the design and execution of initiatives to capitalise on these opportunities, from conception to implementation.
• Project Management Office (PMO) activities for the rollout of strategic initiatives within the retail and fulfilment sphere.
• Collaborate with various departments in commercial and operations to gather financial data, validate assumptions, and identify areas of improvement.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Develop and maintain financial models to forecast and analyze key business metrics within the Retail & Fulfillment P&L such as revenue, expenses, and profitability.
• Prepare insightful and accurate financial reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate financial performance and trends.
• Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the financial health of the organization and identify potential risks and opportunities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (CFA, CPA, etc.) is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in consulting, investments, corporate finance, e-commerce, or start-up environments.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex financial data.
• Proficient in financial modelling and forecasting techniques.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
