Why does this job exist and why is it critical?

The primary responsibility of the role of the Business Development Specialist is to lead and manage government relations, stakeholder relationships, and communication activities.

What are you accountable for?

Managing Maxis Enterprise Government engagement strategy

• Manage Maxis Enterprise Government Segment strategy that drives towards overall ambition(s).

Managing Maxis Enterprise Government stakeholder management

• Build & manage Maxis engagement strategy & execution with key stakeholders for Maxis Enterprise Government in coordination with wider Maxis.
• Managing all stakeholder engagement within Government Enterprise segment, i.e., ensuring team presents to customer goals to include both qualitative & quantitative benefits.
• Drive towards transforming discussions/engagements into clear actionable win-win outcomes for all internal & external stakeholders.

Aligning Sales organization towards Government ambition

• Driving the governance within the sales organization to ensure we articulate our propositions in context of customer goals & needs, including managing governance protocols for how we engage Government.

What do you need to have for this role?

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field as required.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field of public affairs, policy, government relations, advocacy, or a similar role.
• Experience in developing strategic engagement and communications programs including building networks and collaborations.
• A track record in building strategic, effective government relations and impacting policy and reform.
• A background in government, think tanks, and peak bodies – favorable.
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
