If you are looking to grow in an exciting career filled with opportunities and potential, we are seeking a professional to join our team as a Business Development Manager (Corporate Direct) for the Employee Benefit Marketing team.

Job Purpose

To assist superior to activate, grow and expand productivity of Employee Benefits Scheme and to retain renewal business via direct distribution and bank partnership.

The Role:

  1. Collaborate with superiors to plan and execute strategies for achieving personal sales targets by developing renewal and new business.
  2. Drive business development of Group Insurance – Employee Benefits through direct distribution channel and bank partnership to meet business targets.
  3. Monitor sales performance and key initiatives, preparing weekly sales reports.
  4. Oversee day-to-day distribution support and activities for existing corporate clients.
  5. Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and partners, ensuring a high level of service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  6. Assist in organizing events, employee briefings, and presentations on claims utilization review for corporate clients.
  7. Ensure seamless implementation of policy processes, including enrolment, briefing, setup, and billing.
  8. Lead efforts to follow up on outstanding premiums and claim recovery.
  9. Collaborate proactively and transparently with internal teams (Operations, Finance, Claims) to optimize customer experience.
  10. Participate in projects or initiatives to expand and grow the employee benefits business.
  11. Promote a positive culture and uphold behavioral expectations within the department or division.
  12. Adhere to Credit Control Procedures (CCP).
  13. Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and take appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
  14. Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats, and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
  15. Highlight any potential concerns/risks and proactively share best risk management practices.
  16. Other responsibilities entailed.

The Person:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Administration, Insurance, or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of 5 - 7 years’ experience in a sales-related role.
  3. Strong customer focus with the ability to build and maintain relationships across the organization and externally.
  4. Proven track record in sales, marketing, or business development with excellent interpersonal, communication, and networking skills.
  5. Skilled at handling complaints and requests with urgency, maintaining impartiality and objectivity.
  6. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, or after office hours for training, product launches, or special events.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  8. Excellent ability to communicate, present, persuade, and influence effectively at all levels of the organization.
  9. Strong sales and customer service skills, with the ability to assess client needs, provide quality services, and uphold high standards.
  10. Self-motivated, resilient, and capable of thriving in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
  11. High level of integrity, takes accountability for work, and has a good attitude towards teamwork.
  12. Takes initiative to improve the current state of things and is adaptable to embrace new changes.
