Job description

Responsibilities

  1. Identify new business opportunities, including markets, trends, partnerships, and customer segments.
  2. Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor activity, and industry developments.
  3. Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business growth objectives.
  4. Sales and Client Acquisition:
    1. Generate leads and build a pipeline of prospective clients through networking, cold calls, and other outreach methods.
    2. Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
    3. Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  5. Relationship Management:
    1. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
    2. Develop strategic partnerships and alliances with other organizations to enhance business opportunities.
    3. Act as a point of contact for clients, resolving issues and addressing concerns in a timely manner.
  6. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination:
    1. Work closely with internal teams (e.g., marketing, product development, and operations) to align business development strategies with company goals.
    2. Provide market feedback to inform product improvements and innovation.
    3. Collaborate with marketing teams to design campaigns that attract new clients.
  7. Performance Tracking and Reporting:
    1. Set and track sales goals, revenue targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    2. Prepare regular reports on business development activities and outcomes for senior management.
    3. Analyze sales and market data to measure the effectiveness of strategies and adjust as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

    1. Strong negotiation and closing skills.
    2. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
    3. Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and overcome challenges.
  2. Technical Skills:
    1. Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage client relationships and sales pipelines.
    2. Strong knowledge of market analysis tools and techniques.
    3. Familiarity with business development methodologies and best practices.
  3. Leadership and Organizational Skills:
    1. Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
    2. Leadership qualities to guide and motivate cross-functional teams.
    3. Results-driven with a strong focus on achieving targets and objectives.
  4. Education and Experience:
    1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (required).
    2. Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) is a plus.
    3. 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
    4. Industry-specific experience may be required depending on the role (e.g., IT, finance, healthcare).
