Job Description for Business Development Manager

Posture Plus is growing and come join us on this exciting journey in Malaysia! Posture Plus provides specialized physiotherapy and fitness services focusing on pain management and optimizing 3D spinal posture, functional fitness, and well-being.

Responsibilities

  1. Reporting to the Managing Director, you shall be responsible for developing entry/growth strategy for new/existing markets, including digital health in Malaysia, and coming up with a roadmap for business development for the first 3 years.
  2. Identify and manage prospects, promote the services and fitness programs and products of Posture Plus to healthcare, lifestyle vendors, and consumers, including finding local distributors, collaborators, and partners.
  3. Conduct market research and competitive benchmarking to keep track of the competitive landscape, market trends, and latest regulations to ensure service excellence.
  4. Be accountable for achieving annual performance goals and growth, including but not limited to growing manpower needs in human capital.
  5. Propose pricing for services and products based on market research and suggest innovative services relevant to the local demographics.
  6. Partner with the marketing team on marketing strategy and company branding activities and planning, including marketing events and outreach programs in alignment with business goals.
  7. Assist and cover the Clinic Manager on clinic-related matters and services and external events for health promotions.

Job Requirements:

  1. 3-4 years of experience in sales and marketing.
  2. Good understanding of digital health, healthcare services, and the fitness space.
  3. Good academic record and desire for business development.
  4. Self-driven, proactive, can-do attitude, result-oriented, and fast learner.
  5. Ready to accept challenges and work in a fast-paced startup working environment.
  6. Team player who can focus on business development and help peers in the marketing space.
  7. Innovative and strategic ideas for startups.
  8. Well aware of the current trends, regulations, and offerings.
  9. Show an understanding of the challenges facing the industry at present and illustrate a knowledge of the operational attention to detail that will be required to succeed within the industry.
  10. Conduct 10 meetings each quarter with potential partners/vendors to promote the products and services, including securing local distribution.
  11. Have 2 pitching sessions with identified investors and venture capitalist firms.
  12. Obtain at least 10% ROI of total company revenues in corporate business development and partnerships.
  13. Identify and implement further KPIs for business development and growth of the company, including expanding the company into the rest of Malaysia.
