Business Development Executive (Johor Bahru)

As a Business Development Executive, you will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and supporting Solarvest’s growth in the renewable energy sector. This position is based in Johor Bahru and requires a proactive and client-focused professional with expertise in sales, business development, and market analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify new leads and potential markets for business expansion.
  • Initiate contact with potential clients through emails, calls, and meetings to establish rapport and explore collaboration opportunities.
  • Represent the company at conferences, meetings, and industry events.
  • Prepare and deliver impactful PowerPoint presentations and sales displays tailored to client needs.
  • Develop and submit quotes, proposals, and respond to client RFPs (Requests for Proposals).
  • Conduct negotiations with clients and manage ongoing communication by phone, email, or in person.
  • Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities to drive sales growth.
  • Maintain a database of prospective clients and develop both short- and long-term business development plans.
  • Understand client needs, provide appropriate solutions, and follow up on inquiries and requests.
  • Collaborate with management to set sales goals, forecast targets, and plan sales strategies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Diploma/Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics), Business Studies/Administration/Management, or a related field.
  • Language proficiency: Fluency in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin (Mandarin is essential).
  • Prior experience in Solar Engineering Projects or Business Development is a strong advantage.
  • Must be self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must own a personal vehicle.
  • Preferably a Junior Executive with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Marketing/Business Development, or an experienced salesperson with a proven track record.
  • Skills required: Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Presentation, Communication, Negotiation, Financial Modeling, and Market Study.
