Job description

Business Development, Assistant Manager/Manager

Remuneration: RM6,000-RM15,000

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify, evaluate and negotiate potential investment (properties) opportunities in line with the growth strategy.
  2. Develop a growth strategy to build a pipeline of suitable properties for acquisition.
  3. Assess property development and or redevelopment opportunities that are suitable.
  4. Review existing asset portfolio and consider divestment possibilities.
  5. Conduct thorough market research/business intelligence and financial analysis to assess investment feasibility and risks.
  6. Manage the entire acquisition/divestment process including due diligence, liaising with external consultants on the documentation, and seeing through the acquisition/divestment completion process.
  7. Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, real estate, legal, and compliance to execute transactions efficiently.
  8. Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management team and board of directors.
  9. Build and maintain relationships with investors, property owners, developers, and key industry stakeholders.
  10. Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging market opportunities.
  11. Support fundraising initiatives by engaging with investors and fund managers.

Key Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  2. 5+ years of experience in business development, investment management, or real estate acquisitions.
  3. Strong knowledge of structures, real estate finance, and investment strategies.
  4. Proven track record of successful deal origination and execution.
  5. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to analyze financial models and market data to support investment decisions.
  7. Strong network within the real estate and investment community.
  8. Ability to work independently and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
