This Business Analytics Manager role is critical to driving the Firm’s strategic technological and digitalisation excellence within Global Business Services in Malaysia. The Business Analytics Manager in Fragomen Global Business Services plays a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, consistency, standardisation, reporting, data analytics and enhancing service excellence across the APAC region.

In this role, you will manage and drive data-related operational excellence frameworks to ensure the efficient delivery of the Firm’s goals and Client services. You are a dynamic individual capable of managing all stages of achieving operational excellence, including change and risk management, with a strong focus on data analytics. You will be required to explore technology solutions, harness those capabilities within the Firm and seek opportunities to further leverage technological enhancements.

You will quickly learn the end-to-end operational flow and develop an in-depth understanding of all available platforms within the Firm, seeking opportunities to further enhance operating efficiency and reporting requirements. You will be adept at building strong engagements with key stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are consulted and engaged to ensure alignment. You will be instrumental in delivering optimal outcomes and supporting best-in-class service delivery across Fragomen Shared Services APAC Operations, ensuring alignment with the Firm’s strategic vision for innovation and efficiency.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a combination of sophisticated skills as a seasoned Business Analytics Manager in a Global Business Services environment, including operational planning, people management, quality and control risk management, data forecasting analysing, reporting, internal and external stakeholder management, resource planning, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. You will represent the Firm’s brand, delivering optimal outcomes and supporting best-in-class service delivery.

OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENT / FUNCTION

Fragomen Global Business Services Malaysia provides end-to-end Corporate Immigration services to Clients globally. The role within the team in Malaysia provides a range of exceptional level of business & corporate support services to a wide range of Clients in achieving their operational data analytical requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Requirement Gathering & Analysis

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather business needs.
  • Collect and document functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Understand customer expectations and business goals.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Process Improvement & Optimisation

  • Analyse existing business processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Suggest solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Work with different teams to implement better business practices.
  • Utilize business process modelling (BPM) techniques.

Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration

  • Act as a mediator between business users, developers, and project managers.
  • Organize meetings, workshops, and discussions to understand requirements.
  • Ensure all stakeholders have a clear understanding of project goals.
  • Manage expectations and address concerns throughout the project lifecycle.

Data Analysis & Decision Making

  • Use data-driven insights to help businesses make informed decisions.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis.
  • Present reports and visual representations of business performance.
  • Perform SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis.

Solution Assessment & Validation

  • Ensure the final product meets business needs and user expectations.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) before deployment.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for improvements.
  • Work with quality assurance teams to ensure software testing aligns with requirements.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Create detailed documents, including Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD) and Use Case Documents.
  • Prepare flowcharts, diagrams and wireframes to visualize business processes.
  • Maintain proper records of all project requirements and progress.
  • Write test cases and acceptance criteria to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Generate and prepare reports from Fragomen’s core systems to the respective business when required.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in business process modelling and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience with system development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Knowledge of relevant software and tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Figma, Balsamiq, Lucid chart, JIRA, Confluence, Trello).
  • Basic understanding of programming languages like Python or R.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies.
  • Strong documentation and attention to detail.
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
