Business Analyst (Technical)

Role: Business Analyst (Must write Technical Specs) For Malaysians only!

Mandatory to be Bahasa Malaysia literate (read & write).

Job Description

Responsible to elicit, analyze and validate the required specifications/requirements for software product. He/she defines the feasibility of a solution, its implementation, its interaction with the existing systems, and improves the cost-effectiveness of the project/product they are involved in.

Duties And Responsibilities

1. Communicates with all stakeholders and engineers at all levels of the SDLC.
2. Analyzes and decomposes complex requirements.
3. Analyzes the existing systems and highlights areas of improvement.
4. Perform gap analysis and recommend solutions.
5. Participates in project work scoping and requirements analysis, business process analysis, and system architecture design.
6. Document requirement, technical design specification, functional specification, and software architecture document.
7. Oversee the development of the product as per the specifications.
8. Validate the functionality of the software product according to the requirement specifications.
9. Responsible for writing and maintaining product documentation, including product data sheets, solution white papers, presentation slides, and manuals (e.g. User Manual, Installation Manual, Training Manual, Trouble Shooting Guide, etc.).
10. Participate in maintaining the document repository, document control, and document versioning.
11. Conduct product training where necessary.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
13. Able to work within tight deadlines.

Requirements

Education and Skills Required

1. Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Software Engineering / Computer Engineering / Telecommunication.
2. With a minimum of 3 years in software programming and designing/architecting solutions based on user requirements.
3. Experience in basic practical software development and familiarity with some of the following development syntax: Python, C, C++, C#, ASP.NET, Java, XML, XAML, AJAX, DHTML, JavaScript, VBScript, and other scripting languages (i.e. LUA).
4. Familiar with Microsoft .NET technologies and relational databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server) and designing solutions on different platforms (e.g. web-based n-tier, client-server models, iOS, Android, etc.).
5. Experience in writing technical documents at all levels of the SDLC (e.g. Technical Design Spec, Functional Spec, User/Installation/Training Manuals, White Paper, Data Sheet, technical presentation, etc.).
6. Experience in conducting business process analysis and requirement gathering.

Knowledge and experience in development, testing or requirement study in national identity or passport system would be an advantage.

Knowledge and experience in CMMI documentation and processes would be an advantage.
