Job Responsibilities

1. Secure bio-based and biotechnology investment projects for foreign and domestic companies by:

• Understanding the company's business intentions, expansion plans, and strategy; identifying specific opportunities for Malaysia; and suggesting appropriate business models based on identified opportunities, as well as suitable partnerships (strategic or business).

• Engaging with project owners/companies to ensure successful implementation and nurturing of both BioNexus and non-BioNexus companies.
• Monitoring the progress of approved investments from previous years and addressing any gaps.

• Track and update the pipeline and current projects.
• Provide input to internal and external stakeholders including the various ministries and state governments, as needed.
• Analyze and evaluate industry and market trends in the industrial biotechnology/bio-based sectors.
• Participate in special projects, both within and across divisions.
• Monitor division programs/projects against KPIs and collaborate with other divisions/agencies to achieve corporate KPIs.

Skills Required

• Possess a minimum Bachelor's degree in Life Science, Finance, Economics, or Business.
• 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience in a related field.
• Excellent command of Bahasa Malaysia and English, both verbal and written (this will be tested).
• Strong research, analytical, and project management skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• High level of enthusiasm and creativity.
• Technical, business, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to be based in Putrajaya and travel as needed or required.
