Blended Finance Analyst (Energy Transition)

Review and analyze business proposals from clients on projects related to the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR). You must have the ability to provide input on the technical and financial viability of the project.

Job Description

• Identify potential investments and conduct research on market trends, pricing, and competition;
• Conduct due diligence on potential investments including financial, legal, and operational due diligence, providing analysis on the same;
• Build complex financial models including detailed assumptions, sensitivity analysis, and data translation;
• Assess the impact of potential investments using the Bank’s internal impact assessment framework prior to making an investment proposal;
• Assist with the preparation of high-quality investment committee presentation materials, proposals, and other supporting documents in a clear, concise manner;
• Assist with the execution of acquisitions and dispositions of investments, including preparing aspects of draft term sheets, letters of intent or offer letters, and reviewing legal documents;
• Provide ongoing monitoring of assets within the Bank’s portfolios, including review of monthly operating results and working with senior management of the portfolio companies to maintain project/company/asset performance;
• Establish and maintain relationships with industry, trade, and professional organizations to enhance visibility of the Bank and its portfolio companies in the marketplace;
• Engage with senior management of the portfolio companies regularly to keep track of performance progress;
• Be involved in other ad-hoc projects for the team.

Job Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance/Economics/Engineering from a top-tier university, with a preference for CFA holders;
• At least 2-3 years of experience in Private Equity or Corporate Finance;
• Exposure to Renewable Energy would be an added advantage;
• Understanding of the Energy Transition market;
• Excellent quantitative skills and financial modeling skills such as valuation, merger models, portfolio metrics, DCF models, etc.;
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills;
• Inquisitive mind and ability to navigate around new business setups;
• Passionate about having a career in Private Equity and Nation Building.
