Biomedical Equipment Technician - Based in Papua New Guinea

Company Background:

Our client is one of the suppliers of medical equipment for hospitals/healthcare facilities mainly in the area of Papua New Guinea and neighboring countries. As they continue to expand their business rapidly, they are in search of a Biomedical Equipment Technician.

Training will be provided and candidate will be sent to China for extensive training.

Job Description:

• The technician is required to install, maintain, and repair medical equipment in hospitals or other healthcare facilities.
• The Technician is also expected to perform preventive maintenance on the medical equipment to ensure high-quality patient treatment.
• Install and test run medical equipment to ensure that all equipment meets company standards of safety and quality, and is in compliance with relevant laws.
• Maintain and repair medical equipment.
• Conduct routine calibration and safety checks on the medical equipment.
• Review the outcome of preventive maintenance activities and make recommendations concerning improvements.
• Provide in-service training or educational programs on the proper and safe use of medical equipment.
• Provide on-site technical support to the internal and external users.
• Maintain organized documentation of equipment, inspection reports, and equipment repairs and failures as well as accurate inventory tracking of both addition and disposal of the medical equipment and its parts.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering or technology, or a similar field.
• Minimum of 5 years of working experience as a biomedical technician and know how to install, repair, and use medical equipment and facilities.
• Solid technical skills and the ability to repair machinery with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills English & Mandarin is a MUST due to business requirements.
• Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and illustrated parts drawings of medical instrumentation.

Benefits:

• Basic salary up to RM10,000.
• This is a 3 year contract (renewable).
