Job Overview:

We are seeking BIM Modelers and BIM Coordinators to support our construction projects by implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes. The selected candidates will be responsible for developing and managing 3D models, coordinating multi-disciplinary BIM processes, and ensuring effective collaboration among project stakeholders. Mandarin proficiency is required for efficient communication with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Weekend overtime may be required, with overtime pay provided above legal requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

1. BIM Modeler

As a BIM Modeler, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining 3D models to support design, coordination, and construction planning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop detailed 3D models for architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems using Revit, AutoCAD, and other BIM software.
2. Generate 2D drawings, shop drawings, and construction documentation from BIM models.
3. Update and maintain BIM models throughout the design, construction, and handover phases.
4. Conduct clash detection to identify design conflicts and improve coordination among project teams.
5. Ensure all BIM models adhere to company and industry BIM standards.
6. Work closely with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure accuracy and efficiency in design execution.
7. Assist in project visualization, animation, and rendering to enhance stakeholder understanding.

As a BIM Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading and managing the BIM process, ensuring that the models are effectively used for design coordination, clash detection, and construction planning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) for projects.
2. Oversee the coordination of BIM models across multiple disciplines, ensuring design consistency.
3. Conduct clash detection and resolution meetings using Navisworks and other clash detection tools.
4. Manage the BIM collaboration process, ensuring smooth information exchange between architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
5. Standardize BIM workflows, protocols, and data management for project efficiency.
6. Provide technical support and training to team members on BIM software and best practices.
7. Maintain BIM documentation, reports, and progress tracking for management review.

Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

BIM Modeler: Minimum 2 years of experience in 3D modeling and construction documentation.

BIM Coordinator: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in BIM implementation, model coordination, and clash detection.

Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, SketchUp, BIM 360, and other BIM software.

Strong knowledge of BIM workflows, industry standards, and project execution processes.

Experience in clash detection, constructability analysis, and interdisciplinary coordination.

Understanding of Malaysian building regulations and construction codes is preferred.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Ability to read, write, and communicate in Mandarin and English for coordination with Chinese suppliers and project teams.
