Big Data Developer (Cloudera Hadoop)

Location – Pantai Dalam KL, Malaysia

Job Description

Exp Required – 5-10yrs

The Hadoop administrator is required to provide the following roles:

1. Act as SME & operational support team to work alongside Cloudera.
2. To involve in Hadoop Cluster capacity planning, performance tuning, cluster monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
3. Target system data loading and testing.
4. User management using user access and right permissions. Managing user/group access from different applications.
5. Monitor Hadoop Cluster connectivity and security.
6. Hadoop File System management and monitoring.
7. Hadoop support and maintenance.
8. Manage and review Hadoop log files.
9. To work on installing, adding and removing Hadoop services, roles and instances.
10. Understanding and implementing user/new requirements, which includes data extraction from source systems into Hadoop system.

KPI Measures

1. High system availability, based on ICT desired benchmark (99.9%)
2. Completed change request on time >90%
3. Incidents/ work order closed on time > 95%
4. Proposals to improve current data lake performance and performance (at least 3 per quarter)
5. Transfer of knowledge sessions.
