BI Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

• Power BI development and administration.
• Involvement in ETL to transform data from new data sources.
• Design and maintain an effective data warehouse to support efficient information access and extraction by relevant users.
• Work directly with clients and leadership at various levels in the organization to research and identify operational business requirements with sufficient details and clarity to allow the development of the data or reporting solution needed.
• Excellent analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
• Knowledge and experience in prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis.
• Perform day-to-day BI duties.

Academic Qualification(s):

Candidates must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology.

Work Experience / Skills Requirement(s):

• 5+ years of industry experience using Microsoft Power BI.
• Firm understanding of SQL and Stored Procedures.
• Proficient with MSSQL or any related databases.
• Proficient in DAX language and Power Query.
• Experience with Azure cloud computing platform is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate will be an added advantage.
• Smart, energetic, and results-oriented with a can-do attitude for tasks ranging from ETL setup and build maintenance to QA and feature delivery.

Salary Range: RM4,000 - RM8,000
