Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit applications for Labuan Managed Trust Company licenses in compliance with LFSSA regulations.
Conduct thorough research and analysis to ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements.
Liaise with the Labuan Financial Services Authority (Labuan FSA) throughout the licensing process.
Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures for managed trust operations.
Monitor changes in regulations and ensure that the company remains compliant with all relevant laws.
Assist in the preparation of internal reports and compliance audits to maintain operational standards.
Provide training and support to staff regarding compliance and regulatory matters.
Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities and other stakeholders.
Contribute to business development initiatives to promote our managed trust services.
Oversee the incorporation and administration of Labuan Managed Trust Companies, ensuring compliance with LFSSA.
Collaborate with fully operational trust companies in Labuan to manage client trusts effectively.
Maintain and prepare statutory records, including trust deeds, minutes, and corporate resolutions.
Advise clients on regulatory requirements, corporate governance, and best practices for trust management.
Liaise with the Labuan Financial Services Authority and ensure timely filings and compliance with all regulatory obligations.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Company Secretary or in a similar role within trust and corporate services.
- In-depth knowledge of LFSSA and licensing requirements for Labuan Managed Trust Companies.
- Relevant licenses and certifications to operate as a Trust and Corporate Service Provider in Labuan.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Language required: English, Malay, and Mandarin.
