Barista ( IOI City Mall 2 )

Job Responsibility

1. Professionally brew, sell and prepare all varieties of specialty coffee according to recipes and standards.
2. Greet guests and respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
3. Take guest coffee orders and prepare them in appropriate coffee ware.
4. Maintain cleanliness of work area/outlet at all times.
5. Requisition, stock and rotate all coffee and beverage related products.
6. Maintain, clean, secure, store all coffee and beverages, food and other equipment items.
7. Conduct all coffee related training for all restaurant staff.
8. Maintain the restaurant’s coffee program with input from the management.
9. Organize and conduct coffee tasting sessions with the staff as part of efforts to engage and educate the restaurant team.
10. Continuously monitor guest feedback and comments for coffee and other beverages.
11. Be actively involved in an ongoing dialogue with coffee partners, suppliers, roasters and equipment vendors.
12. Assist front of house staff where necessary or if not involved in coffee and/or beverage duties.
13. Assist front of house staff in taking food orders and keying in to the Point-of-Sale system for the orders to be processed.

4. Pleasant personality with a focus on excellence in customer service.
5. Prior working experience will be an added advantage.
6. Self-starter with good communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Possess self-confidence and be able to actively interact with all relevant parties.
