Responsibilities:

Coffee Drink Preparation:

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee drinks according to Asylum Coffee’s specific recipes and techniques.
• Maintain consistency and excellence in coffee quality.
• Operate and maintain coffee equipment with care and precision.

Customer Service:

• Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Take customer orders and provide knowledgeable recommendations based on customer preferences.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any complaints with professionalism and courtesy.

Sales and Promotion:

• Promote coffee subscriptions, special offers, and new products.
• Assist in implementing promotional activities to increase sales of coffee beans and other products.
• Work closely with team members to ensure smooth cafe operations.
• Support new staff with training and guidance.
• Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment.

Cleanliness and Organization:

• Ensure the cafe is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
• Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for staff and customers.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
• Passion for coffee and a desire to learn more about coffee preparation and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Have at least 1 year of experience in Specialty Coffee.
