JOB DESCRIPTION
- Product Development: Develop new vegan chocolate flavors, fillings, and shapes. Improve existing products for better taste, texture, and shelf life. Explore innovative ingredients and processes.
- Research and Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends, consumer preferences, and new technologies.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure all products meet food safety standards and conduct regular quality checks. Work with the quality control team to resolve any quality issues.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Trial Run: Work with marketing, production, and sales to align product development with company goals. Manage product trials and provide technical support when needed.
- Documentation and Reporting: Keep detailed records of research and experiments. Prepare reports for management and follow up on HACCP regulation and documentation, including lab-scale samples.
- Housekeeping: Ensure good housekeeping and cleanliness in the production area.
- Other Tasks: Handle any additional tasks assigned by the Chocolate Production Manager. Follow SOP of process according to HACCP Standard. Evaluate new raw material specifications and halal certification with legal regulation. Handle packaging labeling requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology / Food Science / Culinology or related academic background.
- Preferable working experience with a strong background in the Chocolate, Bakery, Dairy, Ice cream, Sauces or Flavor house industry.
- Able to quickly build excellent relationships with internal and external partners.
- Technical skills: knowledge in food production and processing, and knowledge of food safety standards/certifications (FSSC, ISO, HACCP, GMP, Halal, etc.) is an added advantage.
- Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
