Job Responsibilities:

  • Bakery Production: Oversee the daily production of a variety of bakery items including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts. Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and appearance according to established recipes and standards.
  • Quality Control: Maintain rigorous quality control standards throughout the baking process. Inspect ingredients, monitor baking times and temperatures, and conduct regular taste tests to guarantee exceptional product quality.
  • Inventory Management: Manage bakery inventory levels effectively to minimize waste and ensure freshness. Monitor stock levels, place orders for ingredients and supplies, and rotate stock to maintain product freshness.
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service, offering assistance with product selection, answering inquiries, and accommodating special requests. Strive to exceed customer expectations and foster long-term relationships.
  • Merchandising and Display: Create visually appealing bakery displays that showcase our products and entice customers. Utilize creative merchandising techniques to highlight seasonal offerings and promotions.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Adhere to strict sanitation and food safety guidelines at all times. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, follow proper handling procedures for food products, and ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Team Collaboration and Training: Collaborate effectively with other bakery team members, as well as staff from other departments, to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service. Offer support and guidance to junior staff members as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in a bakery setting, with a strong understanding of baking techniques and principles.
  • Excellent knowledge of bakery ingredients, equipment, and tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Certification in food safety and sanitation is preferred.
  • Background in food & beverage will be advantageous.
