About the role

The IoT Platform Services is responsible for developing and maintaining the IoT Platforms of Electrolux. We have two different original platforms that have a long history, and our team is building the foundation for the new generation platform. We are looking for a backend developer who can contribute to developing any part of the system to enable us to support a multimillion number of devices of all the kinds Electrolux produces. We need to provide service to other backend teams and applications seamlessly and securely.

The team currently has 10 developers with different seniority levels, and we have support from architects from outside the team.

What will you do

The main responsibility will be to develop IoT-oriented services. In this role, you will have the chance to work on the kernel of the IoT system of Electrolux, which must be able to manage a huge number of devices with an extremely high level of reliability and performance. The full value chain of the IoT application flows and depends on the IoT Platform part; therefore, standing in the center of the IoT system, this role can leverage all the opportunities and challenges that come with that.

Who you are

1. University Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or similar;
2. 2-4 years of programming experience in backend development;
3. Good knowledge in one of the following languages: Java, C#, Golang, or Rust;
4. Knowledge of CI/CD and application monitoring;
5. Knowledge of Kubernetes;
6. Knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platforms;
7. Good English level.

Where you'll be:

You will be based in our Petaling Jaya office, in Kuala Lumpur, reporting to the IoT Integration Engineering Manager. You will be part of a dynamic international team where English is the natural language.
