AVP, Business System Development (Channels & Core Systems)

  • Lead the system planning, design, testing and implementation of system change requests and enhancements at agreed cost, scope and timeline.
  • Work and coordinate with business users, vendors and IT support team in delivery of system change requests and enhancements.
  • Execute, track & manage System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Requirement Analysis - ensure completeness of business requirements, performs impact assessment for every system change requests.
  • Solution Design – driving requirement and solution discussion meetings between users and vendors to ensure accuracy and consistency of solution design documented in functional specification design (FSD) / scope of work (SOW).
  • Delivery Planning – develop project/enhancement delivery timeline mutually agreed by all stakeholders, manage the costing and budget related processes.
  • Manage and monitor System Integration Testing (SIT), UAT and regression testing.
  • Implementation – Obtain the necessary approvals from Group Risk, Group Compliance and Change Request Committee prior to deployment; Manage and coordinate deployment strategies and activities.
  • Ensure compliance to the internal controls and standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure SDLC documentation for new systems/enhancement is in order as per GIS guideline and procedure.
  • Vendor management to ensure vendors have the necessary resources such as VPN, access cards, internet access, system User IDs, and etc. to support the project / system delivery.

Requirements:

  • Min 3 years of experience in managing and leading implementation of project / system change requests related to core banking or surrounding channel systems, with good working knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle.
  • Good application knowledge in core banking system (CIF, Deposit, Loan, Fund Transfer & Payment Services, General Ledger), channel systems integrated to core banking system (such as branch teller system, payment gateways, etc), and regulatory reporting.
  • Knowledge in SIBS core banking system is an added advantage.
  • Experienced in managing business & IT stakeholders and vendors.
  • Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or any related fields.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills, and effective problem solving & analytical skills.
