Job description

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy equivalent.
  • Candidates must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Psychology and Special Teacher or any course equivalent.
  • 1 - 2 years experience in this field.
  • Interested, compassionate, and kind with children.
  • Excellent and proactive in teamwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop an individualized intervention program based on occupational performance deficits in the areas of personal care, behavior, interaction skills, process skills, play, and communication.
  • Provide clinically effective, person-centered, and evidence-based occupational therapy assessment and intervention to children.
  • Provide support and training to all education staff with regard to occupational therapy interventions.
  • Independently review outcomes and modify intervention programs.
  • Establish a good follow-up and progress update system to track progress and feedback to parents.
  • Undertake student assessments of physical, communication, interaction, and cognitive skills.
  • Plan and provide appropriate activities on Motor Skills.
  • Undertake general administrative tasks, for example, writing reports and maintaining records and notes.
  • Observe for intervention.
  • Communicate with clients and families when appropriate.
  • Keep detailed records and assess client progress.
