Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of audit work papers.
• Review of Draft Accounts.
• Liaison with clients on pending audits, schedules, confirmation, stocktake & cash count for the audit.
• To follow up on pending audit matters.
• To carry out cash count and stocktake.
• To liaise with clients on the scheduling of audit work.
• To remind and correspond with clients on the due date of audited accounts filing.
• Preparation and review of audit packages for the group reporting.
• To coach and mentor associates.
• To ensure that all accounts are bound in a timely manner when signing pages are returned.
• To follow up on accounts sent to the client for signing.
• To review and assist in non-audit assignments.
• To carry any job assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of prior experience required in related field.
• Graduates of Professional Qualification or Degree in Accountancy preferred.
• Candidate must possess or be able to acquire technical skills in Consolidation, deferred taxation, and be in touch with the latest developments in MFRS.
• Candidate is expected to possess staff and client management skills.
• Willingness to work under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Good awareness of other departments to create a culture of tactical collaboration and information sharing.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa (both oral and written).
• Ability to identify sensitive issues and facilitate communications in a proactive manner to avoid surprises.
