About the role

Exciting opportunity for an Audit Assistant to join the team at David & Co, an audit firm based in Kuching, Sarawak. As an Audit Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality external audit services to our diverse client base. This full-time position offers the chance to develop your skills and experience in the dynamic field of accounting and auditing.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting in the planning and execution of audit engagements across a range of clients and industries
• Performing detailed financial analyses, reconciliations, and testing procedures to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Gathering and documenting audit evidence, including conducting interviews and reviewing relevant documents
• Identifying and communicating potential risks and issues to the audit team
• Preparing clear and concise audit reports and recommendations
• Collaborating with the audit team to provide exceptional client service
• Continuously expanding your knowledge of auditing standards, regulations, and best practices

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in external auditing or a similar accounting role
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in the use of audit software and Microsoft Office suite
• Knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently as needed
