Job Description:

As an AV Technician, you are responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of audiovisual systems within the hotel, ensuring smooth execution for all events. You will troubleshoot technical issues, maintain equipment functionality, and verify inventory before each event. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential, as the role requires handling multiple tasks and priorities efficiently. Additionally, you are expected to deliver excellent customer service to hotel guests and report directly to the Director of Food & Beverage, with a dotted line to the Chief Engineer for technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and AV setup for the Banqueting department, hotel staff, and guests, ensuring all equipment is in working condition.
• Assist users with AV system setup, offer guidance, and resolve any technical issues promptly.
• Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain AV equipment, including projection systems, microphones, and hotel sound/disco lighting systems.
• Prepare and test all necessary AV equipment at least one hour before events, referring to the Banquet Event Orders.
• Ensure AV equipment is cleaned, labeled, repaired, and stored properly, maintaining a healthy par stock.
• Keep AV and electrical control rooms clean and organized, adhering to safety and engineering standards.
• Participate in the installation of AV systems for events, including video calling and recording setups.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required, and assist with hanging banners or decorative items when needed.

Pay: RM1,900.00 - RM2,100.00 per month
