Job description

About the Role:

An Assistant Finance Manager will be responsible for service delivery to an agreed portfolio of clients in line with agreed client-specific service level agreements.


What You'll Do:

  1. Key Client contact and ensuring delivery of all reporting for allocated client portfolio.
  2. Prepare Prop Co and Holdco reporting and financial statements based on client requirements.
  3. Prepare consolidation accounts as needed.
  4. Provide bespoke financial analysis reporting as per client requirements e.g. cashflow reporting.
  5. Perform review of property managers' financial statements.
  6. Perform review of financial statements and analysis prepared by accountants.
  7. Preparation of VAT and Income Tax returns.
  8. Support the team with financial analysis.
  9. Preparation of annual standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  10. Dividend/distribution calculations, coordination with client-appointed tax advisor on approved distribution and management of cashflow process.
  11. Responsible for compliance with current procedures to ensure SLAs and KPIs are met within agreed timeframe.
  12. Support the business on onboarding of new clients/new portfolio from accounting perspective.
  13. Highlight potential process improvements and work with the Director of the team to implement.
  14. Attend client meetings and internal meetings.
  15. Responsible for coaching, developing and generally managing junior team members.
  16. Admin support for example company secretary coordination.

What You'll Need:

  1. A professional qualification (e.g. ACCA or CPA Australia or equivalent) is essential.
  2. Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
  3. Focused on delivering solutions within agreed timeframes.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Good time management and prioritization skills.
  6. Proactive and self-motivated.
  7. Positive attitude/outlook and flexible approach to work.
  8. Ability to remain calm and in control when working under pressure.
  9. Experience of preparing financial statements and accounting for transactions in accordance with IFRS.
  10. 3-5 years of experience in Real Estate Accounting or Real Estate Fund Accounting.
  11. External audit experience would be advantageous.
  12. Experience in leading a team of accountants.
  13. Experience of working in a business culture that promotes adherence to procedures and controls.
  14. Excellent Computer Skills - Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Project).
