Asst General Manager

We are a prominent producer of spirally welded steel pipes located in Kuantan, Pahang, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of a public listed company in the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia (KLSE). We invite applications for the Assistant General Manager to be based at our factory in Kuantan, Pahang.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily factory operations, ensuring efficiency and quality.
• Lead and manage staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
• Plan and implement production schedules to meet targets.
• Manage budgets, costs, and optimize profitability.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement and implement process enhancements.
• Collaborate with departments to meet customer requirements and deadlines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Industrial Management, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in factory or plant management.
• Experience in budgeting, P&L management, and cost control.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in managing teams.
• Ability to mentor and develop staff.
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production planning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational challenges.
• Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices is a plus.
• Ability to present reports and performance updates to senior management.
• Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities to handle complex operations.
• Experience with supply chain and inventory management.
