Associate/Senior Associate – Sustainability & Climate Change

Responsibilities:

1. The candidate will support delivery of Sustainability and Climate Change services to GTM clients in Malaysia and member firms across Southeast Asia, in line with GTM purpose and values through:
1. Supporting in project management activities under direction from Management team.
2. Supporting management team in delivering projects across a range of sectors, clients and countries across Southeast Asia/Asia Pacific. Areas of project delivery support include:
1. Development of sustainability and ESG reports, corporate sustainability and target-setting;
2. Analysis of sustainability risks, opportunities and trends for clients, as well as conducting policy/regulatory analysis;
3. Gap analysis and benchmarking of client sustainability programs and performance;
4. Climate strategy development and related services, such as analysis of climate risks and opportunities, decarbonization strategy;
5. Supporting management and delivery of corporate sustainability and climate-related proposals.
3. Supporting in carrying out sustainability assurance engagement by assessing and providing independent verification of a company’s ESG practices, disclosures, data and performance. The sustainability assurance engagement overview may involve processes such as assessment and verification, data analysis, stakeholder interview, assurance reporting and recommendation for areas of improvement.

Requirements:

1. Degree from an accredited university, be it accounting and finance or sustainability academic focus.
2. Efficient, highly effective work ethic - able to work in a fast-paced environment;
3. Ability to work in 3 or more projects at one time; averaging 3 projects at one time;
4. Ability to work in and contribute to the effective delivery of project deliverables, outputs, and support the growth of project team members;
5. Ability to analyse regional and client sustainability data as well as information, create interesting and engaging findings, and present the information in a concise manner;
6. Ability to support project manager in conducting sustainability trainings at the most senior levels (executive management teams and boards);
7. Ability to support in client interviews and catalyse engaging conversations with stakeholders;
8. Highly proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
9. Fluent in English – reading, speaking, writing.
