To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Associate Production Supervisor.
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Associate Production Supervisor role is responsible for directing the manufacturing operations performed in a shift or group of production lines, ensuring they reach volume, quality and cost goals. Additionally, responsible to review daily/regularly plant operating performance, evaluate areas that may be impacting performance, and advise on changes in operating conditions that will improve efficiencies/quality.
What a typical day looks like:
- Leads the production of several processes/lines in a highly technical environment and is responsible for the line's success.
- Evaluates daily/regularly plant operating performance and advises on changes in operating conditions that will improve efficiencies and quality.
- Leads a team of individual professionals (e.g. engineers/officers) to meet quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness requirements.
- Troubleshoots and analyzes operational problems and advises on their resolution. Guides regular discussions with operators to coach performance and improve operational understanding and capability.
- Solicits and evaluates ideas for plant improvements and collaborates with qualified engineers to develop project proposals.
- Provides technical and operational advice to project teams.
- May act as principal interface between the operation team and the maintenance function.
- Engages in training and coaching of junior operators.
- Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply in order to meet customer requirements.
- Initiates and participates in process development and cost improvement projects.
- Assists in department budget planning and management of department expenses.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing individuals on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with manufacturing standards.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Typically requires a Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience in addition to at least 2 years of operations experience.
- Ability to present information to top management and public groups.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
