Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice on KWAP’s exposure to data privacy regulations & compliance (personal data protection).
• Advise on data privacy requirements in KWAP's operations.
• Advise, review and/or implement relevant SOPs, guidelines and/or policies in relation to data privacy.
• Advise on data privacy clauses in agreements.
• Advise on any gap in KWAP's data privacy policies and liaising with relevant regulators/consultants either domestic and/or international.
• Provide legal advice and support on investment matters, including reviewing, drafting, analyzing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and investment policies.
• Represent business units on legal matters/issues.
• Managing external legal counsel.

Requirements:

• Recognized Degree in Law; and Admission to the Malaysian Bar is optional but is an added advantage.
• Minimum 4 years working experience in private practice or in-house counsel with knowledge and experience in corporate, conveyancing and litigation matters or related field.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficient in writing and presentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
