Job Brief

The Innovation Programmes & Projects Associate will support the development and execution of MRANTI’s innovation initiatives. This role involves assisting in programme coordination, stakeholder engagement, market research, and event management.

The Associate will help track project milestones, ensure smooth execution, and contribute to promotional efforts to increase participation. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about technology, startups, and entrepreneurship, and driving impactful innovation programmes within Malaysia’s innovation and commercialisation ecosystem.


Job Responsibilities

  1. Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing MRANTI’s innovation programmes and projects.
  2. Support engagement with startups, researchers, industry partners, and stakeholders to drive participation.
  3. Research market trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in innovation and commercialisation.
  4. Track programme milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics to ensure successful execution.
  5. Assist in organising programmes such as bootcamps, accelerators, technology showcases, and funding initiatives.
  6. Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to support programme implementation.
  7. Support marketing and communication efforts to promote innovation initiatives across various channels.
  8. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimise programme execution and impact.
  9. Monitor programme budgets and assist in resource allocation to align with MRANTI’s strategic goals.
  10. Perform any other relevant duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirement

  1. A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Innovation Management, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
  2. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required.
  3. At least 2 years of experience in programme/project management, innovation ecosystems, technology development, startup ecosystems, or related fields.
  4. Experience working with incubators, accelerators, startups, spinoffs, and/or innovation agencies is a bonus.
  5. Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Analytical mindset with the ability to collect, analyse, and present data effectively.
  8. Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with CRM tools or project management platforms (e.g., Slack, Trello, Asana) is a plus.
  9. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  10. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  11. Passionate about innovation and entrepreneurship.
