Dow Chemical Company has an exciting opportunity for a HR Specialist role within Human Resources (HR). The role would focus on delivering the services in Talent Acquisition, Employee Lifecycle delivery services, and ensuring the Legal Relation/Employee Relations compliance activities in Korea.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for technician experience hiring and campus hiring in Korea.
- Understand hiring managers’ needs and provide a selection of pre-screened and interviewed candidates to the hiring managers in alignment with global and regional inclusive hiring guidelines.
- Prepare a thorough and detailed recruitment process along with the TA Leader and Hiring Managers for campus hiring.
- Host in-house/external recruitment activities for students if needed.
- Support employee lifecycle activities including pre-onboarding, onboarding, probation, transfer, separation, work permit management, etc.
- Responsible for data management through Enabling Technology (incl. Workday, ServiceNow, etc).
- Implement the Workforce Administration end-to-end processes and drive continuous improvement processes.
- Engage in improving Knowledge Base and Case Management content for Workforce Administration (WFA).
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and deliver solutions to HR, employees, and people leaders.
- Attend Labour Union meetings/negotiations to write meeting minutes.
- Be in charge of Labour Union related documentation required by the government and internally required documentation.
- Act as a coordinator for labour union related meetings.
- Highly skilled in effectively interacting with and supporting different levels of employees and People Leaders.
- Able to operate effectively and proactively with an employee-experience and end-to-end mindset.
- Able to use appropriate judgment in escalation or when to involve other resources in decision making or processing.
- Basic understanding of Korean Labour Policies, Regulations, and Guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Two years or more of human resources or relevant experience.
- Skilled in effectively interacting with and supporting all levels of employees.
- Effective communication; English speaking is required.
- Critical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
- Work collaboratively, self-motivated, and has a sense of accountability.
